Our Story

Beach Garden is the only bar and kitchen in this community that is owned and operated by a local and a member of the LGBTA community. Ben Gutierrez (he/him)felt a need to maintain and celebrate our diverse community by building this new safe space, which allows Queer individuals to grow and navigate this sometimes-tricky world.

Chef Andy Figueroa (they/them) is also a local native who has been trained by Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco after serving in the US Military. They worked in world-renowned kitchens such as Boa Steakhouse on Sunset, SoHo House in West Hollywood and Rivera Restaurant in Downtown LA.

Our New Latin-American Cuisine blends crowd favorites with our Hispanic heritage. Many of our dishes are family creations which had a way of bringing all the families together. Whether it was ceviche for a birthday or Posole Verde for “just because”, it was an event where we all crammed into someone’s house and celebrated… just being together.

As we continue to grow and build our menu, we will unveil new dishes over the next few weeks. We are also building an exciting new cocktail menu with our revamped interior.
